My Self-Care And Self-Love Journey
Self-care and self-love are essential for mental well-being. They guide us to treat ourselves with kindness and respect. This blog post will take you through my journey of self-care and self-love, sharing some of my routines, habits, and reflections.

My Daily Check-In
Every day, I start by checking in with myself. I ask myself: "How am I feeling?" and "What am I grateful for today?" I take time to reflect on what I am looking forward to and how I can add some fun to my day. For example, today, I am looking forward to a relaxing evening with a good book. To add some fun to my day, I plan to try a new
recipe for dinner.

My Self-Love Journal
Then, I spend some time with my self-love journal. This journal is the place where I can express my feelings and thoughts without judgment. Here are some of the questions that I like to explore:

  • What are five things I love about myself?
  • How can I practice self-love more on a daily basis?
  • What does self-love mean to me?
  • What is something I love about my body that isn't aesthetic?
  • What kind words can I say to myself today?
My Gratitude
Next, I turn to my gratitude journal. Here, I jot down all the things I am grateful for, both in the morning and in the evening. This practice helps me focus on the positive aspects of my life and cultivates an attitude of gratitude.

Building Self-Love Habits
To cultivate self-love, I focus on building certain habits. Here are the three self-love habits I am currently working on:
    • Habit #1: Daily meditation.
    • My why: It helps me stay centered and calm.
    • Habit #2: Regular physical activity.
    • My why: It boosts my mood and energy levels.
    • Habit #3: Eating a balanced diet.
    • My why: It makes me feel good and impacts my overall health positively.
My Productive Routine
Having a structured daily routine helps me stay productive and manage my time effectively. Here’s what my typical day looks like:
  • Wake up at a consistent time and create a morning routine that involves self-care.
  • Engage in physical activity, such as a workout or a brisk walk.
  • Nourish my body with healthy foods and stay hydrated.
  • Take breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge.
  • Practice mindfulness or meditation.
  • Schedule time each day for activities that I enjoy.
  • Reflect on my accomplishments and celebrate my achievements.
  • Prioritize sleep.
My Self-Love Reflection
At the end of each week, I take some time for self-reflection. I contemplate things I like about myself, things people like about me, and what I love about my appearance and personality. This reflection helps me appreciate myself more and boosts my self-esteem.

My Complete Self Makeover
As part of my journey towards self-love and self-care, I've also embarked on a complete self makeover. This involves making changes to my finances, health, and life to support a more effective self-concept. I also contemplate who I want to become and who I admire. This process helps me redefine my self-esteem and overcome barriers that prevent me from feeling better about myself.
My Self-Esteem Journal
In my self-esteem journal, I jot down what I love about myself, what others say I am good at, and what's unique about me. This exercise helps me recognize my strengths and boosts my self-confidence.

My Self-Love List
I also have a self-love list where I jot down my favorite affirmations, compliments to myself, and things that I'm proud of. This list serves as a reminder of my worth and accomplishments.
In conclusion, the journey of self-care and self-love is ongoing and unique for everyone. It's about finding what works for you and embracing the journey with patience and kindness. I hope that by sharing my journey, I can inspire you to take steps towards self-care and self-love. Remember, you are deserving of love and care, especially from yourself.

Thank you for visiting!

I've always felt there must be more to life than just going to school, working, cooking, and cleaning.
Growing up, this was my mother’s routine, and for a long time, I thought it was mine to follow as well. I believed life was predetermined—shaped by social status and the expectations of those around us. Our family didn’t hold any special status, and I struggled with feelings of inadequacy. I thought of myself as ugly, too short, too heavy—frankly, I didn't like myself much at all.

But as I grew older, I began to feel a growing discomfort. I knew deep down that I wanted something different from life, something more. It took me years to understand that we are often shaped by others' expectations—parents, teachers, society—and that we can lose our true identity when we conform to someone else's vision of who we should be. I fell into that trap, and it led to poor decisions and a deep yearning for love, attention, and happiness. But no matter how hard I searched, I couldn’t find it outside of myself.

Growing up in Eastern Europe had a profound effect on my belief system. I didn’t feel like I had a voice, and when my family immigrated to Canada, that feeling intensified. I didn’t speak English, and the frustration of not being able to express myself made me feel even more lost and isolated. I struggled to belong, feeling like I didn’t fit in anywhere, and that emotional rollercoaster was slowly breaking me down. I had no idea who I was or what my purpose was on this planet.

To make matters worse, as I entered menopause, my health started to deteriorate. I felt sore, exhausted, uncomfortable, and trapped in a body that wasn’t listening to me. I was desperate for relief. Does any of this sound familiar?

For years, I struggled to reconnect with my true self, but I never gave up. I knew in my heart that the key to peace, happiness, and health was finding and following my own path. After countless books, webinars, and guidance from holistic teachers and coaches, I finally realized something powerful: I could rewrite my own story. I wasn’t stuck with the old programming I had absorbed—I could change the narrative.

Was it easy? Absolutely not. But the journey was worth every step. Rebuilding myself from the inside out, letting go of limiting beliefs, and embracing my body—just as it is—allowed me to finally live a life of joy and fulfillment. I’m still a work in progress, but that’s part of the beauty of life: it’s always evolving.
Through self-care, self-love, and total acceptance of who I am, I gained the confidence and courage to live a life of true freedom. Now, I am the author of my own fairy tale, fully owning my story and loving myself along the way. It’s the bravest thing I’ve ever done.

If you’re looking for inspiration or simply someone to share your journey with, let’s connect! I would love to hear your story, answer your questions, or just chat. Feel free to message me on social media or email me anytime—I’d love to hear from you!
